Young Citizens of Armenia

Young Citizens of Armenia was the first project implemented in cooperation with the KASA Foundation from Armenia. As part of the project, our organization received funds to enable two Polish volunteers to travel to Armenia and work as volunteers in our partner’s structures for several months.  The KASA Foundation is one of the largest NGOs in Armenia. It was founded in 2000 to fight the tragic effects of an earthquake by conducting humanitarian projects.

Currently, in addition to humanitarian activities, KASA also realizes educational and tourist projects, running its centers in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan, as well as in the city of Gyumri. KASA regularly hosts European volunteers, also those applying from Poland. As part of the project, Magda from Lublin got involved in the foundation’s branch in Yerevan, while Kuba from Rzeszów went to Gyumri to help run the KASA Gyumri Center and Guest House.

During their stay in Armenia for several months, volunteers participated in a number of educational and social activities, such as organizing language cafes, youth clubs, workshops, meetings, and other events. The implementation of the project made it possible to support volunteers not only in substantive terms but also to cover their accommodation, meals, and travel expenses.
