Pictures changing Perspectives

Volunteers and members of partner organizations aged 18-30 will take part in the project titled Pictures changing Perspectives. They come from 4 countries France (OENE), Poland (INPRO), Portugal (Agrupamento de Escolas de Vilela) and Great Britain (Cultivate Cornwall CIC).

There are 3 stages of the project: The youth leaders will meet for an advanced planning visit in Rzeszów on 7 – 8 March, 2020 to discuss the project flow. Then, in September 2020 we meet again in Rzeszow and in November 2020 we continue in Guadeloupe.

During this mobility, participants are challenged to develop a photo exhibition content (during the first exchange) and organize a vernissage for the local community (during the second exchange). They will plan and take photo shootings under the expert eye of professional photographers. The participants will also work under the guidance and advice of guest experts and specialists. They will be encouraged to involve the local youth in this activity.

Pictures will help them not only speak up about the obstacles of today’s youth, but also youth opportunities and the importance of international initiatives and intercultural learning. It is our intention to show other youth organizations that street art can also become an educational tool for youth to get them more involved in community activities. We believe that they will use it as a best practice example and also as a source of inspiration for future work.

After the first youth exchange, in their local communities, participants will take pictures related to the problem of youth challenges. Together, they will pick 15 pictures that they would like to present during the vernissage, organized during the second youth exchange.

The next part of the project is a youth exchange that will take place in Poland in 5 – 16 July 2020. During the second mobility, participants will learn the basics of event and project management. Then, they will organize a vernissage, inviting local people of Rzeszów to come and participate in the event.

The final result of the project is a photo exhibition addressing the difficulties that working/studying youth has to face nowadays in their countries and the ways of overcoming them by taking part in international projects such as youth exchanges. The aim of the exhibition is to bring awareness among young generations about the advantages of being active and participative in developing activities.
