Dear Friends from Ukraine!
We know that right now, words may not bring much comfort. But please know that we are with you, and you can count on our support. For the young people of Ukraine, we want to let you know that our European programs can provide you with opportunities to start fresh in Poland. We have funding to engage you as volunteers in our organizations, offering accommodation and pocket money.
Our volunteers assist at the Rzeszow Train Station support point
We are financing the work of 20 young volunteers, including Polish-Ukrainian translators, who help run the support point at Rzeszów railway station. These volunteers work around the clock, in three shifts, ensuring continuous assistance day and night. We cover the costs of accommodation, meals, and subsistence. Additionally, our volunteers receive training, supervision, and psychological support. This project runs from March 12 to April 12, 2022, and is funded by the European Solidarity Corps program. The initiative is carried out in cooperation with the Municipality of Rzeszów, which coordinates the support point.
We integrate young refugees into our socio-cultural volunteer programs
We are committed to integrating young Ukrainian refugees into socio-cultural activities in Rzeszów and supporting their inclusion into the local community. On April 24, 2022, we are launching a new volunteering project—a 7-week program of socio-cultural activities led by a group of 16 international volunteers. We are looking for flexible, creative individuals who speak English and enjoy participating in social activities. We offer accommodation at our hostel in Rzeszów, lunch on workdays, and financial support of approximately 1,600 PLN. The main priority is recruiting young Ukrainians, especially those in need, who are already in Poland and looking for a fresh start. Psychological support and daily work coordination will also be provided. More details about these volunteering programs can be found HERE.
Partnering with the BWA Art Gallery in Krosno
Thanks to the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program, we are also funding the work of young volunteers at our partner organization, BWA Art Gallery in Krosno. BWA has already welcomed one Ukrainian volunteer who began working in March 2022. In the near future, BWA will host more Ukrainian volunteers—two for two months and two others for a full year. BWA has the Quality Label, which allows it to host volunteers under the ESC program.
We are part of the Parasol Group
The Parasol Group was formed as a response to the current crisis in Ukraine. It is a grassroots, non-political movement of NGOs and activists from the Podkarpackie province of Poland, which borders Ukraine. Our group provides comprehensive support to refugees and organizations working on their behalf, covering the entire Podkarpackie region and beyond. We help coordinate and professionalize efforts that stemmed from the urgent need to respond to this crisis. More information is available here.
Supporting international humanitarian organizations and activists
With our years of experience in international cooperation, we offer support to other humanitarian organizations and individual activists, particularly foreign ones facing language barriers. We assist in finding information and contacts, offering our help in English. Additionally, we can provide office space, accommodation at our hostel, and consulting services. We are always open to new partnerships and collaborations.
