"Business for All" training for youth workers at INPRO

Business For All

In 2017, International Projects’ Association INPRO launched its first Erasmus+ training course, “Business for All,” aiming to develop entrepreneurial skills in young people from rural and remote areas. These youth often face limited opportunities due to the geographical isolation of their communities, and this project sought to address that gap by equipping them with the tools to create change.

About the Project

The “Business for All” project brought together 24 youth workers from 8 different countries—Portugal, Italy, Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, and Latvia. Over the course of 7 days, from August 27 to September 2, 2017, participants gathered in Rzeszów, Poland to immerse themselves in a dynamic learning environment designed to foster entrepreneurship.

The training activities were led by experienced youth workers engaged in both formal and non-formal education. Participants learned how to enhance their entrepreneurial knowledge, identify key resources, and navigate the steps to initiate and manage business ventures.

Why Was the Project Important?

The need for this project arose from the reality that rural and remote areas are often overlooked when discussing employment opportunities for young people. These regions tend to be underrepresented in public dialogue, leaving youth with few prospects for professional development.

By participating in this project, young people explored innovative tools to sharpen their entrepreneurial skills. They also had the opportunity to build international partnerships, reflect on available resources, and consider future collaborations. Importantly, participants became more aware of their role in stimulating private business initiatives within their own communities.

Practical Learning

The project included visits to local enterprises in Rzeszów, providing practical examples of how entrepreneurial ventures can thrive in even the most unexpected places. These visits helped participants understand the potential of their own communities, inspiring them to consider how they could implement similar initiatives back home.

Empowering Rural Youth

“Business for All” was more than just a training course—it was a call to action. Participants were encouraged to think critically about their own communities and realize that they could drive change, rather than moving elsewhere in search of opportunities. The project highlighted the importance of youth work in shaping character, building confidence, and encouraging young people to pursue their ideas within their local areas before considering relocation.
