Youth For Armenia

Youth for Armenia is a European Voluntary Service project realized in partnership with KASA Foundation from Armenia. We continue to work with KASA thanks to our previous fruitful cooperation. This time we received funds to make it possible for 3 Polish volunteers to work at one of KASA’s centres, in Yerevan or Gyumri.

The KASA Foundation is one of the largest NGOs in Armenia. It was founded in 2000 to fight the tragic effects of an earthquake by conducting humanitarian projects.

Currently, in addition to humanitarian activities, KASA also realizes educational and tourist projects, running its centres in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan, as well as in the city of Gyumri. KASA regularly hosts European volunteers, also those applying from Poland. As part of the project, Paweł and Olga got involved in the foundation’s branch in Yerevan, while Katarzyna went to Gyumri to help run the KASA Gyumri Center and Guest House.

During their stay in Armenia for several months, volunteers participate in a number of educational and social activities, such as organizing language cafes, youth clubs, workshops, meetings, and other events. The implementation of the project makes it possible to support volunteers not only in substantive terms but also to cover their accommodation, meals, and travel expenses.

Paweł started his mobility in September 2019 and stayed in Yerevan till the first week of May 2019, while Olga arrived in September 2019 and ended her mobility at the end of November 2019. Katarzyna arrived in Gyumri in October 2018 and finished her volunteering experience at the end of September 2019.
