Open Café: A Weekly Tradition of Connection and Learning

What is Open Café?

Every Wednesday, INPRO hosts an event called Open Café, a gathering that brings people together in a relaxed, judgment-free environment. Organised by my fellow volunteers, the aim is simple yet impactful: to create a space where people can socialise, share ideas, and have fun. Each Open Café centres on a specific subject, sparking meaningful discussions where participants learn from one another and exchange their thoughts.

My Role

At the moment, I participate just like everyone else—taking part in the discussions, soaking in the atmosphere, and enjoying the process. While I haven’t contributed to a subject yet, I’m inspired by the possibilities and look forward to contributing in the future.

What Makes It Special

What truly sets Open Café apart is the calmness and openness that fills the room. There’s no tension, no judgment. Everyone is encouraged to express their opinions freely, and the focus is on learning and connecting in a supportive environment.

Of course, organising such an event comes with its challenges. Deciding on a topic, preparing a presentation, keeping participants engaged, and ensuring that no one gets bored are all critical aspects. Yet, each week, the team finds creative solutions to these challenges, making every Open Café a success.
