Multicultural Café in Lubaczów – our journey through cultures
From July to December 2017, we had an amazing opportunity to co-create the Multicultural Café in Lubaczów. If you’ve ever dreamed of breaking the language barrier, meeting people from all over the world, and having a lot of fun while doing it, these meetings were the perfect place!
Every Thursday, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, we gathered at the Public Library in Lubaczów. During that time, our library transformed into a vibrant meeting space for people curious about the world and other cultures. Thanks to our international EVS volunteers from different countries, we participated in integration games, workshops, and discussions about culture and its influence on our daily lives.
We didn’t need to be language experts to take part in these meetings. The relaxed atmosphere allowed everyone to get involved, regardless of how well they spoke English. These gatherings weren’t just about learning but also a great chance to make new friends and get to know people from different cultures.
Everyone who joined our meetings was thrilled. We had the chance to learn more about other countries but also to see how much we all have in common. We were proud to create a space where people from different cultures could meet, exchange experiences, and spend time together.
Participation in our meetings was free, and working with volunteers from different countries added a unique character to the event. Multicultural Café proved that diversity is our strength and that it’s truly worth exploring the world through the eyes of others.
Meetings were carried out in co-operation with Lubaczów Municipal Commune and Lubaczów Municipal Youth Board.
