Lens Towards The Future
Breaking Stereotypes, Erasmus+, Youth Exchanges

Lens Towards The Future

During the first week of spring, we had an amazing youth exchange here at INPRO facilities! The program, called “Lens Towards The Future”, finished a while ago but we still have the emotions and memories left by the participants. There were 30 participants from 4 countries in INPRO: Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine!

During the 5-day program, not only we worked on creating the amazing media you see above, but we also discussed the differences between our cultures and had brainstorming sessions and intercultural workshops altogether.

After welcoming our new participants and having team buildings with them on the first day, we continued our journey by going on a city tour walk after lunch. On the second day of the exchange, the guys had amazing cultural visits to Rzeszowskie Piwnice (Rzesz贸w Cellars) and learned a lot about the history of Rzesz贸w, played interactive games, saw the artefacts of medieval life in the city.

On the third day of the youth exchange, the participants learned the basics and the short history of photography in general, got to know some of the best photographers in the world, and learned the techniques of finer compositions.

The fourth day started with some morning energizers to get the necessary energy for the most important part of the program – taking pictures! Participants had a task to create their own artwork, using the INPRO space, or going outside and wandering in Rzesz贸w to find their own inspirations. The task of making pictures was not just a simple one, but the picture should’ve contained an important meaning, and more specifically – the goals of sustainable development of the world. After taking their own photos, the participants edited them, and in the afternoon the artwork was already sent to the printing lab.

The fourth day started with the preparations for the vernissage! We cleaned the frames, took care of the stuff needed for the big event, framed the artwork and prepared our speeches. After lunch, we continued our preparations in Urban Lab, where we put the framed pictures on easels, and prepared the place for visitors. In the evening, when all the guests already were in Urban Lab, we started our event where the participants introduced their own works and talked to the visitors individually, answering their questions.

We had an evaluation session and a YouthPass presentation as well. The participants filled in their YouthPass certificates and evaluation forms afterwards. Also, we’ve had intercultural evenings with the country groups, where the participants presented their cultural specifics, showed their own music and dances to others, and later tasted the snacks brought from their own cities!

We want to thank our partners and the team leaders for supporting us during the exchange! You’ve done a really good job 馃檪
