Beyond the Borders
During 23 – 27 January 2023, young members of partner organisations, aged 16-20 took part in the project called “Beyond the Borders”. They were coming from 4 different countries: Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine and Poland.
During the 5-day program here in Rzeszów the participants spent an amazing time in INPRO. The main topics of the YE were the discussion and understanding of the cultural differences, along with finding common heritage in each other’s culture. During the exchange, participants discussed and listed the main problems that young people all over Europe and the world face nowadays, played a lot of games and participated in team building.

The participants had cultural visits to Rzeszowskie Piwnice, which is almost a 400 meters passage through a series of historic cellars under the market square of Rzeszów (Rynek).
During the youth exchange, participants were challenged to find and discuss the stereotypes they have about each other’s countries. After having a brief brainstorming, they continued with making shifting debates to break the stereotypes and know each other’s cultures even better. At the end, they made very creative collages about the common values they have with each other. We believe that they will use the knowledge they gained during those days as a best practice example and as a source of inspiration for their own future.
The project ended with participants discovering more about other youth programmes and opportunities, and having an evaluation and goodbyes along with an intercultural evening. In the end, every participant received an official European certification – YouthPass.
