VET Accountancy: A Journey to Remember!
In December, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group from Veszprémi SZC Bethlen István Közgazdasági és Közigazgatási Technikum (Veszprém SZC Bethlen István School of Economics and Public Administration) from Hungary, as part of a Vocational Education and Training (VET) program. Over their two-week stay, 18 students and two teachers took part in enriching learning experiences, cultural explorations, and engaging activities that made a lasting impact on all of us.
Starting with Exploration

The adventure kicked off with a lively city tour of Rzeszów. The group strolled through its charming streets, soaking in the rich history and discovering its most beautiful landmarks—a perfect way to begin their stay.
The next day, the students dove into their practice time by learning how to play the Revas Business Simulations. This hands-on session was both fun and educational, allowing students to step into the role of business owners. They practised making financial decisions, managing resources, and tackling real-world challenges faced by companies.
In the afternoons, students participated in intercultural workshops led by INPRO volunteers. Each day, they explored a different country, played games, and worked on improving their English speaking skills. They also took part in our Monday Stories event, where they learned about Tatarstan and Japan. Additionally, students joined our Open Cafe, where they had the chance to make new friends and chat with local youth who are regulars at our language club.

Midweek, the group explored the Rzeszów Underground Cellars, uncovering the city’s hidden tunnels and fascinating history. From old trade secrets to stories of survival, the museum offers a captivating glimpse into the past, connecting the students to the city in a truly unique way. Next, they travelled to Kraków, where they had the chance to explore the city’s rich architecture and vibrant cultural heritage.
Another highlight was a visit to the National Bank of Poland, where the students gained insight into the world of banking. They learned about the bank’s operations, its role in the national economy, and the importance of financial management—a valuable experience that broadened their understanding of economics.
Diving Into Polish Education

The second week began with an educational visit to the Economical School Complex. Here, the Hungarian students learned about the Polish education system, and played another business simulation game with the Polish students. It was an enriching experience for both groups, fostering cultural exchange and understanding.
Midway through the second week, the group visited the Podkarpackie Centre of Innovation, a hub for new ideas and technological advancements. They were introduced to innovative projects and the role of creativity in solving real-world problems. The visit inspired many students to think about how they could use innovation in their own future careers.
A Journey to Remember
The Hungarian group’s two-week visit to Rzeszów was much more than a learning experience. It was an opportunity for cultural exchange, personal growth, and building connections. The students brought energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm, making every activity more enjoyable and meaningful.

For us, hosting the group was a joy. It’s always inspiring to see young people eager to learn, explore, and engage with the world around them. We hope they left Rzeszów with not only new skills and knowledge but also with great memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
We look forward to welcoming more groups like this in the future and continuing to create meaningful experiences together!
