Study visit in Resovia: Area of Innovation for Creative Youth
July at our organization, INPRO, started with the same energy as the previous month. We welcomed a diverse group of twenty participants from around the world to Rzeszów for a study visit. The enthusiasm for our activities was palpable as they not only engaged productively but also formed genuine international friendships, which we cherish deeply at INPRO.
Our workshops kicked off on Monday morning after everyone got acquainted—a feat in itself, given the challenge of memorizing twenty new names. INPRO volunteers then took the participants on a tour of our city. Despite the hot July weather in Rzeszów, everyone enjoyed conversing about their interests, admiring statues, and learning about historical figures from across Poland, not just our city. Seasoned volunteers offered practical advice on navigating the city, suggesting must-see places and must-try local delicacies to ensure their week in Rzeszów was unforgettable.
The next day, we dove into our topics with a good trip. We mapped out our communities, defined their challenges, and collectively brainstormed solutions. In a lively exchange, groups presented their findings to a larger audience. Following a refreshing coffee break, we engaged in energizing activities and focused on honing storytelling skills, sparking creativity among the four groups of five participants. The stories and characters they created were both amusing and memorable.

Wednesday began with a visit to Feniks, another innovative space in Rzeszów, which provided an ideal setting for our workshops. Participants were tasked with conceptualizing their own Mini Open Cafe after learning about our flagship Open Cafe at Urban Lab, held every Wednesday evening. The morning session was a resounding success, with groups enthusiastically brainstorming fun activities and energizers. Later, they attended our Open Cafe event, further expanding their network within the community.
In addition to Urban Lab and Feniks, the group explored other notable places in and around Rzeszów, including the Youth Center of Rzeszów and PCI. At the Youth Center, we were warmly received by Vice President Mr. Boguslaw Tomczak, who guided us through the facility, showcasing activity rooms, the concert hall, and workshop spaces. It was a pleasure to chat with him and Ms. Magdalena, the event manager.
At PCI, participants explored fascinating laboratories, study areas, and conference spaces. The highlight of our visit was Łańcut Castle, located near Rzeszów, where participants enjoyed the museum and the castle gardens. Reflecting on our project at the park, we exchanged heartfelt notes and bid farewell to our newfound friends.
Although the study visit lasted just a week, it fulfilled its purpose beautifully, leaving us with cherished memories of adventure, exploration, and enduring friendships.
