YOUTH IN TUNE: Here we go again!

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.” – Plato

Speaking of music, let’s delve into ‘Youth Tune,’ an extraordinary youth exchange initiative that bridged two organizations across Portugal and Poland. Surprisingly, it culminated in a singular creation: an original music video.

Associação Nó Górdio hosted 50 talented young people from 10 European countries during the program’s first phase in Portugal. Together, they crafted an original band titled ‘Borboleta da Liberdade’ (translating to Butterfly of Freedom in Portuguese). Their song, ‘Hold On,’ talks about mental health, its societal impacts, and the transformative power inherent in striving for positive change.

In the second phase of the youth exchange at INPRO, Rzeszów, the written lyrics metamorphosed into a visual narrative. Participants were immersed in days full of different experiences! Understanding the city’s essence and theme was very important to capturing the music video. The participants engaged with the local community, delved into workshops, and forged international connections.

The result is a music video, now on YouTube, transports viewers through the streets of Rzeszów, capturing the participants’ interactions with the city and each other. The collaborative effort across these countries and exchanges portrays music’s unifying strength. Witnessing how the participants embraced the chance to connect, learn from diverse cultures, and create lasting memories showcases the incredible potential we hold when we’re in sync!

We thank all the participants and their supporting organisations for such a beautiful initiative we had:
