A group of thirteen IT and hardware and networking students from Bolyai János Technical High School and College embarked on a journey from Hungary to Rzeszów, Poland to participate in a vocational education and training (VET) program. During two weeks in July, they had the opportunity to enhance their skills in an intercultural setting.
The group was divided into two, with one group learning website management with WordPress, design creation with Canva, and photo editing with Lightroom under the guidance of Inpro. The other group collaborated with EKO TECH LAB to gain hands-on experience in hardware repair and maintenance of laptops and computers.
This VET program, like other Erasmus+ initiatives, provides an enriching intercultural experience in non-formal education. Participants interacted with individuals and organisations from diverse backgrounds, gaining valuable insights into their potential career paths.
During their stay, they went on a trip to Łańcut castle and visited Rzeszowskie Piwnice to learn more about the history of Rzeszów and the Podkarpackie area. The participants of our Erasmus+ VET project also had the opportunity to spend the afternoons with the volunteers of INPRO. Each day, 2 hours are dedicated to developing the English language using non-formal education as the best tool.
At the end of the project, we had a successful evaluation of the program, filled with emotions and discussions. We took photos all together and had fun writing wishes on small cards for each other!
The project was financed by the Erasmus+ program.
