YOUTH IN TUNE: here we go again!

"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything." - Plato

Some projects leave a mark. Youth Tune is one of them.

This Erasmus+ youth exchange brought together two partner organisations across Portugal and Poland, and what came out of it was something nobody could have fully anticipated: an original music video, created entirely by the participants themselves.

The first phase took place in Portugal, hosted by Associação Nó Górdio. Fifty young people from ten European countries came together and did something remarkable: they formed a band. They called it Borboleta da Liberdade, which translates to Butterfly of Freedom, and together they wrote an original song called Hold On. The track tackles mental health, its impact on society, and the strength that comes from choosing to push toward positive change. Heavy themes, handled with real creativity and care.

Then came the second phase, hosted by INPRO in Rzeszów, Poland. This is where the lyrics came to life visually. The participants spent their days exploring the city, engaging with the local community, attending workshops, and building connections that crossed every cultural and language barrier. All of it fed into one goal: capturing the soul of Rzeszów on camera and turning it into a music video.

The final result is now on YouTube. It takes viewers through the streets of Rzeszów, showing real moments of connection between participants and the city they temporarily called home. It's a document of what happens when young people from across Europe are given the space, the tools, and the trust to create something together.

That's what Erasmus+ youth exchanges make possible. And Youth Tune is proof of it.
We want to thank all the participants and their organisations for being part of this, as well as Urban Lab and Podkarpackie Centrum Innowacji for hosting the workshops and training sessions during the project.
