Vocational Training in Rzeszów – Environmental Protection in Practice

2026-10-26

From 4 to 17 October 2026, Rzeszów hosted a vocational training programme focused on environmental protection. The programme combined educational visits, opportunities to explore local initiatives, workshops, and activities that encouraged participants to learn through experience and discover different aspects of environmental protection.

One of the key activities was a visit to the Thermal Waste Treatment Plant with Energy Recovery (ITPOE), where participants had the opportunity to learn about the thermal treatment of waste and the recovery of energy. The programme also included a visit to a wastewater treatment plant and activities at the Podkarpackie Science Center, offering opportunities to discover science and technology in an engaging setting.

Participants also visited a laboratory at Rzeszów University of Technology, gaining further insight into learning and skills development in an academic environment. These visits highlighted the importance of combining educational activities with practical experiences and exploring how knowledge can be applied in real-life settings.

The training also provided an opportunity to discover Rzeszów and its surroundings. Participants took part in a city walk with volunteers and visited the Rzeszów Underground Tourist Route. The programme also included a trip to Kraków, allowing participants to explore another destination in Poland. These activities complemented the educational programme by introducing participants to local history, culture, and heritage.

Alongside the educational visits, the programme featured English and culture workshops delivered with the support of volunteers. These sessions offered opportunities to practise communication, exchange experiences, and explore different cultural perspectives. There was also time for team-building, shared activities, and discovering the local area. In this way, the training combined professional development with learning, communication, and experiences beyond the workshop setting.

The vocational training in Rzeszów demonstrated how diverse learning opportunities can be. Study visits, encounters with science and technology, workshops, and cultural exploration created a programme that connected theoretical knowledge with practical experience.

We would like to thank everyone involved in making the programme possible!
