Every year we host several groups of high school students from different countries who come to Rzeszów to take part in Erasmus+ vocational training programmes. Most of them spend two or three weeks with us, gaining practical experience and discovering how their field of study looks beyond the classroom. One of these visits recently brought a group of students from Nagykanizsai SZC Zsigmondy Vilmos Technikum in Hungary. During their two-week stay in March 2025, the programme combined two different study profiles: IT and civil service.
Students from the IT track focused on JavaScript programming, developing their skills. Their sessions took place at the Feniks International Integration Centre, a creative space that encourages collaborative work and problem solving.
At the same time, the second part of the group followed a very different path. Students from the civil service profile trained with the “Strzelec” Riflemen’s Association Józef Piłsudski, where the programme included teamwork exercises, discipline-based training and practical tasks.
Although the two groups worked in different environments and focused on different skills, the experience they shared was similar: learning in a new place, working with new people and seeing their future professions from a different perspective.
Programmes like these allow students not only to develop their professional interests, but also to experience life and learning in an international environment. For many participants, it is the first opportunity to step outside the familiar setting of their school and apply their knowledge in practice.
We would like to thank our partners for their cooperation, as well as the students and teachers from Nagykanizsai SZC Zsigmondy Vilmos Technikum for the time spent together in Rzeszów.
The project was funded from the budget of the European Union.
