Tourism Behind the Scenes

2022-10-31

At the end of October 2022, Rzeszów once again became a meeting place for young people from different countries. This time we hosted a group of students from Sárvári Turisztikai Technikum in Hungary, who came for a two-week Erasmus+ VET programme focused on tourism and gastronomy.

The programme combined vocational knowledge with practical experience. Participants took part in culinary workshops, learned about the basics of working in the hospitality sector and discussed how the tourism industry operates — from organising services to working with customers.

The activities were not limited to the training room. An important part of the programme was also getting to know the place where it was taking place. Students had the opportunity to explore Rzeszów and the Podkarpacie region, discover local culture and spend time together in an international group.

Projects like this show that vocational education can be much more than theory. Above all, it is an opportunity to gain experience, encounter new environments and develop skills that are useful in real professional life.

The two weeks passed quickly, but they left behind many new experiences, memories and inspiration for the future.

The project was funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.
