Shaping Skills of the Future turned young people from participants into facilitators, giving them the space to learn from one another. From 31 August to 4 September 2026, the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange took place in Rzeszów, Poland, welcoming young people from local areas, Ukraine, Slovenia and Hungary. The week began at INPRO with icebreaking activities, group building and informal integration, setting the foundation for the days ahead.
The programme moved beyond introductions with the Rzeszów City Challenge, followed by group activities that pushed participants to work together, exchange ideas and get creative. Teamwork stayed at the center of the week: different activities gave the group chances to collaborate, take initiative and approach challenges from new angles. Participants learned by working together and creating things themselves.
Participants also stepped beyond the training room. An evening at Space4Youth, a visit to the Rzeszów Underground Route, and activities at Urban Lab let them discover different spaces around the city. The Intercultural Evening at INPRO was one of the most vivid moments of the week. Each group shared a piece of home through traditions, regional food and snacks, music and dance. Participants filled the evening with laughter and dancing, bringing their cultures together as one group.
As the exchange wound down, participants reflected on the week, explored future opportunities and took stock of what they'd shared. Youthpass certificates and a final evaluation closed out the programme, followed by a farewell evening to mark the end of the week.
Shaping Skills of the Future rested on one idea: learning means more when you help shape it yourself. The exchange ran one week and included eight workshops, with participants learning skills directly from each other.
