3 R’s Of The Environment

3 R’s of the Environment is a youth exchange in the Armenian city of Gyumri between 3 and 9 November 2019.

Young people from Poland, Armenia, Latvia, and Georgia will participate in the exchange.

3 R’s stand for Reduce Reuse Recycle.

The aim of the exchange was to sensitize young people to environmental issues, namely recycling and waste management (reduction and reuse) in a long-term effect, using non-formal, informal and outdoor methods.

During the exchange, awareness about recycling practices was promoted among participating countries (Georgia, Armenia, Latvia, Poland) through research and sharing of results, as well as on-site recycling practices to reduce and reuse waste, increase the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, and more active participation in society. During the project, a fabric exchange event and eco-Olympics were organized for local people to raise awareness about the ‘3R’ principle.

The follow-up activities will foster quality improvements in youth work and youth initiatives.  We want to encourage young people’s participation and promote social inclusion.

The preparatory visit of the project took place between 2 and 3 October 2019 at KASA Gyumri Training Centre and Guesthouse and it gathered group leaders from Poland, Latvia, Georgia and Armenia.  The youth exchange 3 Rs of the Environment is funded by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union.
