Training Course “Wake up. Act. Change”

International Projects’ Association INPRO was a partner of MTÜ Kalliralli for the “Wake up. Act. Change” training course. The project aimed at empowering and enabling youth workers and youth leaders to increase the level and quality of youth participation in their local communities.

The training course “Wake up. Act. Change” brought together 27 youth workers and youth activists from 9 EU and neighbourhood countries.

INPRO sent two delegates from Rzeszów to take part in this project: Dominik Piegdon and Daniel Martula.

This project aimed at increasing the youth participation in local communities as well as promoting EU core values. It also enabled participant to learn from each other’s experiences and focus on different approaches to engage with youth from all over the world. Our delegates said that this project enriched their experience and awareness of what it means to work with youths. It also gave them new and original ideas for engaging with youths here in Rzeszow.

During the project the participants discussed  the youth participation topic,  they had open workshops, where they gave speeches on different topics – from refugees to a fundraising for voluntary work. In smaller groups people shared their experiences and best practices in working with young people. The participants also had a study trip to Tõstamaa, where they were presented actions of local youth as a good example of youth participation.

The programme was based on non-formal education methodology.

Training Course took place from 26 June to 2 July 2017 in Tõstamaa, Estonia.
