The Overseas Highway

From the 16th to the 29th of July, 2018 ‘The Overseas Highway’ project brought together 20 participants from Poland and Guadeloupe. They are working in different sectors as teachers, youth workers, university students, artists and musicians. During these two weeks, they learned about formal, nonformal and informal education, how to write an Erasmus + youth project and what it’s like to facilitate workshops for youth. The project also provided concrete tools for participants, such as energisers, team building activities, websites so that they can use them in their communities and schools.

During the second week of the project, participants focused on drafting an Erasmus + project to submit for this year’s October deadline. After all, what better way than to use the knowledge they gained than by putting into practice. Through INPRO’s guidance, they received important tips and tricks for writing an effective project application. We hope all their projects will receive positive results.

We would like to thank all the organisations involved in the project, namely Organization for Empowerment and Non-formal Education O.E.N.E. (Guadeloupe), Rzeszów Town Hall, Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury RzeszówMuzeum Budownictwa Ludowego w Sanoku and Bieszczadzka Szkoła Rzemiosła for their help in realising the project and especially for mentoring participants during the exchange.

The project was realised with the support of the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
